Save Yourself POST JAM (Bug fixes)
Hi everyone!
It’s been a little while since the Brackeys Game Jam 2025.1 ended, and I’m still surprised that Save Yourself placed 35th—especially since it was my first Game Jam ever! I’m incredibly grateful for the support and feedback I received.
To improve the experience, I’ve made a small update to fix major bugs and tweak some level design elements based on your feedback. The Windows and Linux versions are now available with these fixes (named as Save Yourself POST JAM of course). While there’s still a lot I would love to refine, I want to respect the spirit of a Game Jam submission and keep changes minimal.
So, what’s next?
Well… this project was exactly what I hoped to discover by joining the Jam—a mechanic with the potential to grow into something bigger. That’s why I’ve decided to expand this idea into a full game with a new name, a compelling story, and a more accessible experience.
I know puzzle games can be challenging and aren’t for everyone, so my biggest goal will be to make it more engaging with a better learning curve. All I can say for now is that this game will be about a character named Shy, a melancholic guy with a kind soul. He is the type of person who’d stop by to save a snail on his way.
I really hope this project means something to you. My goal is to make you fall for a character I'm already falling for. You can follow me on social media to stay updated on the project.
Thanks for being part of this journey! 🚀
